Agriculture is the most important activity in Biddya Village. Therefore, a group of farmers found it important to organize the agricultural activities. Bidyya Cooperative was formed in 1964, and it constitutes of 464 members. The annual production amount is approximately 25 tonnes, while the annual sales amount is 15 tonnes.
The cooperative has obtained the Organic and FLO Certificate, in addition to improving the olive oil production line on a regular basis, in which the efficiency of the olive oil production line increased from 1.700 t tonnes 3 tonnes per hour.
The cooperative has set up, in cooperation with PARC (Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee) and EU, 24 model farms. In addition, improving the olive oil quality, and offering training workshops to the farmers such as pruning, fertilizing and marketing workshops, could be considered as one of the priorities in Biddya Cooperative.
